TIME TO REGISTER FOR FALL CLASSES

Spring is here and it is time for Valley Center Pauma Unified School Districts’s (VCPUSD) current students to register for the fall and update important student information.
The Census Verification form will be sent home with students this week and the rest are available on the VCPUSD Web site: www.vcpusd.net under the Parents Tab.
Parents can download, enter information, print and sign the required forms. All four forms are due back to the student’s current school by June 3 .
Spring is also the time that parents can request an intradistrict transfer from one school to another for the next school year. In keeping with California’s Education Code, VCPUSD procedures include:
• Students in good standing on current intradistrict transfers continue and do not need to reapply, however, students may be displaced due to excessive enrollment.
• New intradistrict transfer request forms can be obtained online and must be received at the school site of residence by May 15, 2011 to be considered.
• Enrollment in a school of choice is determined by lot from the pool of eligible applicants. A waiting list will be established to indicate the order in which applicants may be accepted if openings occur later in the year.
If parents have any questions regarding enrollments or transfer requests, they can call the school principal of their child’s school of residence.
