MANDATORY EVACUATION

There is a mandatory evacuation of Lake Henshaw, Mesa Grande and La Jolla Indian Reservation. The EAS [I don't know what that stands for] message advises that 'Due to a fire from south and west residents in the area west of Hellhole Canyon have a mandatory evacuation order."

I'll post this on my blog too. Are you staying up late tonight?

EAS = Emergency Alert System. If this had been an actual emergency, you would have been told where to tune for further instructions. This is only a test.

Is the "west of Hellhole Canyon" information related to the earlier fire incident near VC Road and No. Lake Wohlford, reported by/on CHP site? Or can anyone clarify either of these two incidents?

Very informative site, David Ross; wish we'd found it earlier and thank you.

We reside off Cool Valley near Little Quail Run, as of 10:30PM Thursday 10-25, a tour of the area as follows: Cool Valley, up to Yellow Brick, down to Wizard Way, back to Mac Tan, down to Fruitvale, back to Cole Grade, back to Cool Valley. No evidence of any structure damage within the area, a few burn spots on the East side of Yellow Brick (really surprised that nothing crossed the road). Lots of smoke now, but little/none particulate matter in the air.

David, thanks for your Blog. I evacuated up to LA area, and there was slim information available about what was going on down here.
Regards, and thanks again.

Let's include the looter's in the evacuation order!

We had Sherrifs going driveway to driveway late last night looking for the looters that had been spotted along Yellow Brick!

What the !@$%!

Regarding looters: I was a bit perturbed to find out that a neighbor of mine ran the road block on Circle R by having some migrant workers showing him a way around by using dirt roads and through nurseries. I could say a lot more, but my anger would not allow it to be printed.
