SETTLED FOR THE NIGHT
Ron McCowan, principal of the high school has given us an update on the shelter at the high school. The shelter evacuees are settled for the night. Donations of food, water, blankets and bedding have come in from Harrah's, Valley View and Country Junction Deli. Coffee and danish will be provided in the morning by the Rotary Club. As of tonight they had plenty of supplies. There is an area for RV/trailer parking and a pet area. Pastor Bill Trok was providing assistance. Ron will be spending the night there to oversee the shelter, and is being updated by the fire district. The mood was light for the many children running around, quiet concern from the adults. The scene was organized, upbeat yet calm.
