HORSES NEED FOOD
According to Del Smith of the Valley Center Vaqueros the club has 40 horses dropped off at Aerie Park, off Betsworth. They need alfalfa hay and manure forks, and help feeding.
Hi All, I grew up in Valley Center along Lilac Rd. Does anyone know of the conditions there? Please write and let me know. I live in Texas now with my husband and have friends missing and family that lives in Oceanside. Please know that I am praying for you all. Thank you
I live off of West Lilac and Circle R, so far so good. Also, here is the link to the SD County Emergency page http://www.sdcountyemergency.com/ the fire perimeter maps are helpful. I'm in grid 1069 and everything seems fine.
One of our neighbors told us that he saw the fire came up out of Hellhole early this afternoon and followed our northern fence line east back into the Preserve. We're the flower farm at the end of Conchita at Santee Lane on Paradise Mountain. That's close enough for me!
No other homes had been affected along this part of Santee, however there is still concern that the wind could shift and change the picture.
Here's a good link that goes into GoogleEarth for the MODIS "hot spots". These are updated every four hours, starting 1:00 A.M. Eastern Time, as satellites fly over.
We live off old castle about a half mile from lilac road and school. Everything is good right now. Smoke is lessening. Hopefully residents can return home soon.
